A melting pot of cultures and customs with a blend of the Muslim Bajau community, and many tribes of the Kadazan-dusun, Iranun, Kota Belud played a significant role as the cultural hub of northern Borneo for many centuries. Witness the fascinating and colorful weekly market or bazaar called “Tamu” which means “Meeting Place”. Watch people confer and exchange gossips while selling their wares.
